“The question isn’t who’s going to let me; it’s who is going to stop me.”– Ayn Rand

Ride Like A Girl, She is the heart and soul, the inner glow that we look for in what we do and who we meet.  She is the motivation we seek, and is a role model we admire,  “For if she can do it then I can do it too!”

Her hope is to lift one another, to support growth and make it possible to achieve more than we ever imagined as we share our lives as ‘a girl, who likes to ride bikes’…its how we roll.

It was the month of May in 2010, I had been in training for some time now to become the Solo 24hr World MTB champion which would eventuate in the October of this same year.

I was coaching 20+ athletes and mentoring handfuls of others, answering daily emails and personal messages on FB on the hows, whys and whats that are normally asked of an approachable female athlete.

My wonderful support webmaster husband, always the entrepreneur had this forward vision that when I won my first World championship I could sit back on my laurels and manage a website that would give advice, provide insights to the products I love, write relevant articles, keep a blog, interact with the real world of girls that ride bikes and of course continue being a positive role model via a world wide face.

We grabbed the name Ride Like Girl, bought the domain name and sat on it, waiting for a time to have the energy to jump into this project.

You would think I would have found the time…however the past 5 years have flown by, I have opened and ran three retail bike shop cafes, managed staff, won some more world championships, sent my 21 year old daughter into the big world on her own and have finally drawn on a quote I like to use myself, “the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago…the next best time is now.”

So the time is now!
